For this evening of discovery of Haitian culture, musicians, performers, local and Haitian artists welcome you in the bowels of a disused building for a mysterious and festive evening
Performance
Zoé Cappon & Julien Chaix
The duo of comedians set up their mystical practice in one of the rooms of the faded building and, throughout the evening, received, without appointment and continuously, the public in small groups for a personalized ritual. "You come, you wash, you cry and you leave happy. We are here for you. Thank you !"
Installation
Fabien Clerc
Fabien Clerc tells us, in a heterogeneous and bizarre installation, his version of Haitian culture. Here, traces and relics, ceramics and neon lights are dressed in their evening clothes and adorned with the most flashy attributes. From then on, everyone is free to recreate the invisible links between the different objects, symbols and artifacts that make up the work.
Frying on the line
Refreshment bar from 7pm
Kitchen like in the main street of Port-au-Prince, fritters, marinade, pikliz and bar.
Dance and music
Laura Beaubrun, Ted Beaubrun & Band
From 8:30 pm
Laura Beaubrun is a dancer and choreographer. During her brother Ted's concert, she will dance and use graphic signs that are traced on the ground with flour.
Ted Beaubrun & Band
Théo A. Kummer – Delmis Aguilera – Mathieu Hay
Barefoot artist with the humble appearance of a peasant, from the lineage of the Boukman Eksperyans, Ted Beaubrun is a charismatic musician who carries the fire of Haiti within him. Driven by the dynamics of his musicians, he only needs a few notes of drum to transmit to the audience the positive energy that gives everyone the freedom to dance and sing with him...
