From age 18.
Absinthe is known throughout the world for its bewitching aroma, its sulphurous history and the many secrets that surround it. Prohibited for a long time, absinthe did not disappear, but went underground at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 1908, following a terrible tragedy, the Swiss people were invited to vote on a popular initiative proposing that absinthe be banned in the Federal Constitution. All the cantons voted in favour of the ban, with the exception of Neuchâtel, the birthplace of absinthe, and Geneva. But why Geneva?
Exceptionally, the Maison de l'Absinthe (a museum in Neuchâtel) is coming to Carouge to introduce you to its legendary spirit and help you unravel some of its mysteries. The programme includes a talk, an aperitif and a tasting session, followed by an intimate concert by Poppy Fusée.
